Michele L. Butler Director of Finance Michele L. Butler joined the firm in 2007 as Director of Finance, overseeing financial reporting and analysis, accounting operations, and billing and collections. Michele brings 20 years of progressive accounting and financial management expertise to her position, including 9 most recent years in the legal industry. She has in-depth experience in accounting policies and procedures, internal controls and internal auditing, time and billing systems, budgeting, and profitability analysis. Prior to joining law firm management, she worked for 12 years in corporate accounting for an Ohio-based scrap processing and brokerage corporation during which time she held various senior accounting management positions. Michele earned a B.S. degree in Accounting and a Teaching Certificate from Youngstown State University and her Certified Public Accountant designation in Ohio. She is a member of the Association of Legal Administrators and the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants.
