Robert B. Harris Executive Director BS/BA – The University of Tulsa, 1971 Major: Economics Mr. Harris is the Firm’s Executive Director. He joined the Firm in 2003. From 1993 until joining Smith Anderson he was the Chief Operating Officer of Blackwell Sanders Peper Martin LLP, based in Kansas City. Prior to that he was the Director of International Operations for Squire Sanders & Dempsey. Mr. Harris’ management background spans over 30 years. Prior to entering the field of legal administration he held senior management positions in the airline, trucking and wholesale distribution industries. He is a member of the Association of Legal Administrators, where he is on the Steering Committee of the Large Firm Principal Administrator’s Caucus and an associate member of the American Bar Association. He is also a member of the ALA Educational Conference Committee and is Chair of the 2005 ALA Educational Conference. Mr. Harris has spoken nationally on Trends in Law Firm Administration, Management Skills for Senior Managers, and Managing Multi-Office Operations.
