Mr. Thompson has 40 years experience in the courtroom as an advocate for the defense, having tried approximately 300 cases to jury verdict. He has tried cases in all Federal and State trial courts in North Carolina and has experience in all North Carolina appellate courts, as well as the United States Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.
He has taught trial advocacy at the International Association of Defense Counsel Trial Academy in Boulder, Colorado. He frequently gives presentations to physicians groups on subjects ranging from risk management to tort reform.
