Jackson Moore Speaks at Veteran’s Small Business Conference

Raleigh, NC (August 31, 2010) – Jackson Moore, a partner in Smith Anderson’s Government Contracting and Commercial Litigation practice groups, will speak on “Legal Issues in Government Contracting” to an audience of veterans focusing on how to grow their existing businesses at the Small Business Conference for Veterans held on Tuesday, August 31, 2010, at Elizabeth City State University, Elizabeth City, North Carolina.

The program is sponsored by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), the Small Business and Technology Development Center NC Procurement Technical Assistance Center, and the North Carolina Military Business Center. The program is part of an ongoing effort to help veterans start and grow viable businesses and learn how to navigate through the government procurement maze. Other topics to be addressed at the conference include: exploring the basics of government contracting, how to do business with the Veterans Administration, and SBA financing and contracting.
