Chris Kiger, Smith Anderson Lawyer, Named to Elon University’s Sports Hall of Fame

Raleigh (August 18, 2009) – Chris Kiger, a member of Smith Anderson’s Litigation Group, will be inducted into Elon University’s Sports Hall of Fame at a ceremony to be held on Saturday, September 5, 2009 at Whitley Auditorium on the Elon Campus. Mr. Kiger holds several school records from his four-year varsity basketball career at Elon and was twice named an Academic All-American.

Prior to law school at UNC-Chapel Hill, Mr. Kiger played professional basketball in the United States Basketball League.

Mr. Kiger concentrates his practice with Smith Anderson in the areas of products liability, mass tort and commercial litigation. He has significant experience representing manufacturers, insurers, and other corporate clients in both state and federal courts, as well as in multi-district litigation.
