Catherine Kimberley Appointed as Delegate to the American Bar Association House of Delegates

Catherine Kimberley, a Smith Anderson associate, has been appointed as a delegate to the American Bar Association (ABA) House of Delegates on behalf of the North Carolina State Bar (NC State Bar). Ms. Kimberley has been active in various professional activities, most recently as Co-Chair of the Pro Bono and Poverty Issues Committee of the Young Lawyer Division of the North Carolina Bar Association. Ms. Kimberley’s appointment as a Delegate is for a two-year term and will begin at the end of the ABA annual meeting in August 2009, to be held in Chicago, Illinois.

Ms. Kimberley has been with Smith Anderson since September of 2006, after receiving her law degree from the University of Texas School of Law, with honors, and her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with highest distinction. Ms. Kimberley practices in the area of employment and labor law. The ABA is the largest voluntary association of lawyers in the country, and addresses a broad range of policy issues affecting the legal profession and the administration of justice. The House of Delegates is the governing and policy-making body of the ABA. The NC State Bar is the licensing body for lawyers in North Carolina.
