Smith Anderson Welcomes Six Lawyers to the Firm Partnership

Smith, Anderson, Blount, Dorsett, Mitchell & Jernigan, LLP (Smith Anderson) is pleased to announce the election of the following lawyers to the Firm's partnership, effective January 1, 2008. Collectively, the new partners include a former General Counsel; lawyers who have practiced exclusively in North Carolina as well as in major metropolitan areas outside of North Carolina; and lawyers with a wide range of transaction, litigation and counseling experience. This continues Smith Anderson's focus and tradition of attracting and retaining lawyers with diverse backgrounds and experience to serve the complex and changing needs of Firm clients.

Heather Adams
focuses her practice on commercial and intellectual property litigation, including disputes between businesses and a variety of class actions. She formerly worked for a national law firm and served as General Counsel of Sageworks, Inc, a software company.

J. Mitchell Armbruster
practices in the area of commercial litigation, with significant experience in appellate and administrative litigation.

Geoffrey R. Krouse
practices in the areas of corporate law, securities law and mergers and acquisitions. He formerly practiced in New York City.

K. Alan Parry
practices in the area of commercial litigation, with significant experience in insurance coverage litigation and construction litigation. He formerly practiced in Dallas, Texas.

T. Robert Rehm, Jr.
focuses his practice on technology licensing and commercialization and the intellectual property aspects of transactional and litigation matters. He formerly practiced in Washington, D.C.

Dana Simpson
concentrates his practice in the areas of health care, administrative law and government relations.
