Smith Anderson's Employment Group Presented 14th Annual Employment Law Update Seminar

For the 14th consecutive year, Smith Anderson's Employment group hosted its annual Employment Law Update seminar. This year's full day program was held at the North Carolina Bar Center on Tuesday, September 26th and repeated on Wednesday, October 4th.

"We again were pleased to have an opportunity to update our clients on the ever-changing employment law environment and provide them with practical tools to successfully manage in today's fast-paced workplace," said Kim Korando, Smith Anderson's Employment Law group leader. As in past years, this interactive, filled-to-capacity program was attended by over 300 human resources and related professionals.

The day included several presentations and interactive discussions led by our Employment group lawyers, recently recognized for the second consecutive year as one of the leading employment practices in North Carolina by Chambers USA America's Leading Lawyers for Business.

Both sessions featured guest speaker J. Steven Cline, D.D.S., M.P.H., Deputy State Director of Health, North Carolina Division of Public Health, who offered his thoughts on "When the Pandemic Flu Hits: What Every Employer Should Expect."

Attendees also received a binder of reference materials and other pertinent information.
