Smith Anderson Lawyers Named as Legal Elite

Fifteen Smith Anderson lawyers have been named to Business North Carolina’s Legal Elite 2009.

Since 2002 Business North Carolina magazine has offered lawyers from around the state the opportunity to cast ballots nominating their peers to be among the Legal Elite. It is unique as the only award that gives every active lawyer in the state the opportunity to participate in the selection process. Statewide, 621 lawyers were picked by their peers in business-related categories. This number represents approximately 3% of the State Bar membership. The ballots sent out asked one simple question: “Of the Tar Heel lawyers whose work you have observed firsthand, whom would you rate among the current best in (business-related categories).”

Special congratulations to Steve Mason and Gerald Roach for leading their categories with the greatest number of votes. They have been inducted into the Legal Elite Hall of Fame.
