Pete Marino Named to Chair North Carolina Bar Association’s Construction Law Section

Smith Anderson partner, Peter J. Marino , has been named Chair of the Construction Law Section of the North Carolina Bar Association (NCBA). An active member and participant in the Section for over 10 years, Mr. Marino is serving a one-year term as Chair, following his position as the Section’s Vice Chair, a three-year elected term on its Council, and as the Managing Editor and Co-Author of the second, third and fourth editions of the North Carolina Construction Law Deskbook.

The Construction Law Section, with more than 500 members, serves the interests of construction lawyers throughout the state. It is a voluntary organization of the Bar that focuses on all aspects of construction law including public and private contracting, project delivery systems, claims and litigation, bonds and insurance, OSHA compliance, and subcontracting.

Mr. Marino chairs Smith Anderson's Construction Law Group. His practice includes all facets of construction law arising out of public and private projects. His experience includes development and construction-related contract drafting, negotiation and review, lien licensing and permitting issues, claims administration, surety matters, and he regularly handles owner-contractor-subcontractor disputes and litigation.
