Christopher Smith Elected to Serve as Secretary of the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys

At this month's annual meeting of the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys (NCADA), Smith Anderson partner Christopher Smith was elected to serve as Secretary of the Association. Mr. Smith previously served as Chairman of the Commercial Litigation Section from 2005-07, and was elected to the Board last year.

The NCADA brings together civil litigation lawyers to promote exchange of information; and to strengthen the practice, skills and knowledge of lawyers defending individuals and business in North Carolina.

An experienced commercial litigator, Mr. Smith has significant experience in business disputes; trade secrets; environmental and toxic tort litigation; pharmaceutical development litigation; preliminary injunctions and temporary restraining orders; and with matters designated 'exceptional' and 'complex.' He advises clients on business risk management and strategy issues, and has tried numerous lawsuits to verdict.
