Mike Saber Elected President of Temple Beth Or

Raleigh, NC (June 15, 2011) – Mike Saber, a partner with Smith Anderson, has been elected President of the congregation at Temple Beth Or in Raleigh, NC. His two-year term will begin July 1, 2011. Prior to his election as President, Mr. Saber was the Temple’s Vice President of Finance and, prior to that, he was a member of the Board of Trustees and served on several board committees, including as chair. Temple Beth Or was founded in 1912 in downtown Raleigh and has grown to become one of the larger Reform Judaism temples in the Southeast with more than 500 members.

Mr. Saber practices corporate law, with an emphasis on the formation, financing and general representation of public and private growth and technology companies and closely-held businesses, and the representation of entrepreneurs, investors, shareholders and institutions involved with such companies. He represents clients in a variety of corporate activities, including venture capital transactions, mergers and acquisitions, commercial contracts, capital-raising and strategic licensing and collaborations. Before joining Smith Anderson in 1996, Mr. Saber practiced corporate law at Blank Rome, LLP in Philadelphia.
