Firm lawyers Stephen T. Parascandola and Brad J. Daves recently authored an article selected for publication in Business North Carolina magazine's 2006 Law Journal.

The article, "Nanotechnology: The Next Regulatory Frontier?" addresses the environmental, economic and other potential implications and benefits from this emerging field. Of note, Small Times magazine recently ranked North Carolina ninth among the top states in nanotechnology.

Mr. Parascandola, a partner, has broad experience in all aspects of environmental, health and safety law and litigation, from permitting and regulatory compliance issues to transactional and litigation matters at both the State and Federal levels. He also has significant experience in commercial real estate matters, including land use, purchase and sales transactions, and commercial office lease issues.

Mr. Daves, an associate, has substantial experience in the areas of air quality, soil and groundwater contamination, water quality and wetlands law, commercial real estate, commercial leasing, renewable energy, and utility-related environmental concerns.

Business North Carolina magazine began publishing its Law Journal in 1996. Now published annually, it contains articles on timely legal issues written by lawyers experienced in the topical area.
