Smith Anderson Lawyer Named to North Carolina State Bar Board of Continuing Legal Education

Susan Milner Parrott, a partner with Smith, Anderson, Blount, Dorsett, Mitchell & Jernigan, L.L.P., was recently appointed by the North Carolina State Bar Council to serve a three-year term as a member of the Board of Continuing Legal Education.

The goals of the Board of Continuing Legal Education are to protect the public by encouraging lawyer competence through continuing education and to reduce the burden of mandatory continuing legal education on lawyers by increasing opportunities for legal education that are convenient, inexpensive and relevant.

Ms. Parrott has been with Smith Anderson for over 20 years. Her practice focuses primarily on employment-related issues. She is involved in the development and interpretation of employment, non-competition, and confidentiality agreements, and regularly assists clients with compliance with state and federal employment laws and the prevention of employee lawsuits.
