Nelson to Chair Tax Section of the North Carolina Bar Association

William W. Nelson, a partner with Smith, Anderson, Blount, Dorsett, Mitchell & Jernigan, has been appointed to chair the Tax Section of the North Carolina Bar Association for the 2004-2005 year. His term begins on June 20, following the close of the 2004 annual meeting.

At Smith Anderson, Nelson practices in the areas of federal, state and local tax planning and advocacy for businesses and tax-exempt entities. He is the co-author of the 2001 edition of CCH's Guidebook to North Carolina Taxes.
