Dorsett Elected to ABA House of Delegates

James K. Dorsett, III, a partner with Smith, Anderson, Blount, Dorsett, Mitchell & Jernigan, has been elected to serve in the American Bar Association (ABA) House of Delegates, the policy-making body of the ABA. He was elected by North Carolina State Bar to serve a two-year term, commencing in August 2004.

Dorsett practices in the areas of commercial and products liability litigation at Smith Anderson in Raleigh. He is the Immediate Past President of the North Carolina State Bar. He serves on the Board of Directors for the American Counsel Association, and the Board of Governors for the International Society of Barristers. In 2003, he was elected a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation.

Dorsett is a graduate of Wake Forest University School of Law, and earned his A.B. from Davidson College.
