Zeb Anderson Elected to Labor and Employment Law Section Council of the North Carolina Bar Association

Raleigh, NC (December 1, 2011) Zeb Anderson, a partner with Smith Anderson’s Labor & Employment practice group, has been elected to the Labor & Employment Section Council of the North Carolina Bar Association (NCBA). His election occurred at the Labor & Employment Law Annual Meeting in October 2011 in Charleston, SC. His three year term will begin on July 1, 2012.

Mr. Anderson represents private and public employers in connection with all aspects of employment-related litigation and counseling. He has represented employers in state and federal courts and before government agencies throughout the southeast and beyond, including North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, New York, Minnesota, Michigan, and Arizona, in litigation involving employment-related statutory and common law claims arising under federal and state law.

About the Labor & Employment Law Section of the NCBA
The Labor & Employment Law Section includes an even number of plaintiff and defense attorneys, plus representatives from various government entities as section counsel. The section publishes a brochure on nonprofits and another brochure that lists agencies to contact about employment issues. The section, with currently 608 members, sponsors CLE programs and services; provides members with a substantive newsletter; and helps mold the association's legislative agenda for presentation to the N.C. General Assembly.
