Partner Michael Saber Re-Elected Secretary of the Board of Directors of CED

Smith Anderson Partner Michael Saber has been elected 2017–2018 Secretary of the Board of Directors of the Council for Entrepreneurial Development (CED), a nationally connected network that helps Triangle entrepreneurs build and grow successful companies.

Mike has served on CED’s Board of Directors and Executive Committee since 2015, and was elected to his first term as Secretary last year.

CED is the largest and longest-running entrepreneurial network in the country. The Board and Executive Committee support CED’s mission to propel emerging North Carolina companies into highly successful businesses. In order to strengthen and grow North Carolina’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, CED provides education, mentoring and capital formation resources to help high-growth, high-impact companies gain traction and scale.

In addition to his affiliation with CED, Mike is a past director of the Association of Corporate Growth, RTP Chapter, and a founding director of the National Association of Corporate Directors, RTP Chapter. He is a member of the North Carolina and Wake County Bar Associations and has consistently been named to The Best Lawyers in America© since 2010.

A co-leader of Smith Anderson’s Life Sciences and AgTech practices, Mike represents clients in a variety of corporate activities, including venture capital transactions, mergers and acquisitions, commercial contracts, capital-raising and technology transactions, and strategic collaborations. He aids in the growth and development of businesses, working with management, boards of directors and other advisors.
