Smith Anderson Hosts International Lawyers from Duke University

RALEIGH, N.C. – On August 2, 2012, Smith Anderson hosted students and faculty members from Duke University School of Law’s Summer Institute for Law, Language, & Culture (SILLC). The event included a panel of Smith Anderson attorneys who are Duke alumni, including Jackson Moore, Toby Coleman, Susan Hargrove, and Anne Croteau. The panel discussed their personal journeys in the law, their individual practice areas, as well as an informative question and answer session addressing the practice of law in the United States.

Duke Law’s SILLC is a preparatory course for foreign students and scholars adapting to United States law school. SILLC is a four-week intensive course that will introduce students to legal English, the United States legal system, and the law school experience.
