Kimberly Swintosky Receives 2011 Women Extraordinaire Award

RALEIGH, N.C. – Smith Anderson law firm is pleased to announce that Kimberly Quarles Swintosky, a partner in the firm’s Commercial Transactions and Tax and Estate Planning practice areas, is a recipient of Business Leader Magazine's prestigious 2011 Women Extraordinaire Award. Ms. Swintosky was one of approximately 1700 nominees chosen for distinguished leadership in business as a legal professional and for significant contributions to the community through her work with a number of Wake County not-for-profits, including the Boys & Girls Clubs and the Carolina Ballet.

Ms. Swintosky focuses her practice on privately owned businesses and their owners. As an attorney and CPA, she advises clients with respect to general business and contract law, mergers and acquisitions as well as federal and state income, gift and estate taxation. Before joining Smith Anderson, Ms. Swintosky worked as a tax consultant with Arthur Andersen, LLP. She is a North Carolina Certified Public Accountant.
