Mike Weddington Appointed to North Carolina Bar Association Judicial Performance Evaluation Committee

Raleigh, NC Mike Weddington, Of Counsel to Smith Anderson, has been appointed to the North Carolina Bar Association Judicial Performance Evaluation (JPE) Committee. The JPE Committee was created in 2008 to conduct a judicial performance evaluation survey of Superior and District Court Judges whose seats are up for election in the next election cycle.  The Committee serves to strengthen the trial court judiciary by providing the citizens of North Carolina with information to make informed and educated choices when voting for trial court judges.

Mike has been a member of the North Carolina Bar Association’s Administration of Justice Committee (AOJ) for many years, including chairing the Committee from 2008 to 2010, where he was deeply involved in the design of both the survey for evaluation of sitting trial court judges and the survey for evaluation of lawyers seeking election to the trial court.
