Robert Rehm Elected as Chairman of the North Carolina Museum of History Associates

RALEIGH, N.C. – Robert Rehm, a partner at Smith Anderson, has been elected to the position of Chairman of the North Carolina Museum of History Associates. The group primarily engages in spreading awareness about the North Carolina Museum of History, as well as attracting donations for the organization. Mr. Rehm has been involved with the group since 2003 and is grateful for his membership as an opportunity to get to know the state of North Carolina.

The North Carolina Museum of History has collected and preserved artifacts and other historical materials relating to the history and heritage of North Carolina for well over a century. Beginning with a single hall showcasing a small collection donated by Fredrick Augustus Olds, the museum now contains over a quarter of a million items and has won several awards over the last year alone, including the coveted “Excellence in Exhibition Special Achievement Award” from the American Association of Museums.

Mr. Rehm regularly represents a variety of clients in connection with technology commercialization matters with a particular emphasis on matters involving software, hardware, and other assets relating to information technology. His practice focuses on technology licensing and commercialization and the acquisition, licensing, and protection of patent, copyright, trademark, trade secret, and other intellectual property rights. Prior to practicing law, Mr. Rehm was an electrical engineer for 16 years.
