RALEIGH, N.C. – Smith Anderson associate Rebecca Brophy joined the 29th graduating class of the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Raleigh program on Thursday, June 5, 2014. Leadership Raleigh is a nine-month program consisting of eight, one-day sessions held in the greater Raleigh area with an opening weekend retreat. The program emphasizes three overall components: team projects, community orientation, and enhancing leadership skills/styles.
“Participating in Leadership Raleigh was a very positive experience in a number of ways,” said Brophy. “In addition to being exposed to many facets of the greater Raleigh area and meeting many of the community’s current and upcoming leaders, it was particularly rewarding to spend the year working with the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina on a project to increase awareness, recruitment and retention of sponsors for the Summer Food Service Program, which helps support low-income children in need of nutritious meals when school is not in session.”
