Christopher Smith Appointed to Board of Directors for North Carolina Chamber

Raleigh, N.C. – Smith Anderson partner Christopher Smith was appointed to serve on the Board of Directors for the North Carolina Chamber.

Chris has a history of service to his profession and his community and works with business groups, government officials and bar groups on initiatives to improve the quality and efficiency of the administration of justice in North Carolina. Currently, Chris is the Immediate Past President of the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys, which he served as President of from 2012-13. He also is chair of the Trade Secrets Group for the National Defense Research Institute.

At Smith Anderson, Chris leads the Firm’s Business Litigation Team. As part of his practice, he manages large multi-party and multi-jurisdiction litigation projects, and mission-critical projects for clients. Chris has significant experience in business disputes, trade secrets, environmental litigation and risk management, and with matters designated exceptional and complex.
