Richard Stevens Joins Board of Directors of North Carolina Center for Nonprofits

Raleigh, N.C.—Smith Anderson lawyer and former Senator in the North Carolina General Assembly Richard Stevens recently joined the Board of Directors of the North Carolina Center for Nonprofits.

Richard was appointed by the Board for a two year term beginning July 1 of this year.  As a Member of the Board, Richard will help to determine the organization’s mission and purpose, ensure effective planning and management, and actively recruit new members.

Founded in 1990, the North Carolina Center for Nonprofits was created by and for nonprofits to help give them a voice.  It currently has more than 1,600 Member organizations and strives to promote the core values of innovation, integrity, diversity, service, stewardship and sustainability.
