Emily Yeatts is a member of the Real Estate Development Group. Her practice involves counseling owners, tenants, developers, sureties and contractors on all issues related to project development, design, construction and procurement. She regularly handles construction and commercial contract drafting, negotiation and review.  She also has experience litigating contract disputes and business tort actions.

Emily advises clients on legal issues associated with sustainability practices, including LEED certification, green leasing and construction contracts for green buildings. She has been accredited through the Green Building Certification Institute as a LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Associate.

  • Represented a large soft drink manufacturer on design and construction agreements for multiple production and storage facilities
  • Represented an international corporation on construction agreement for a $40 million renovation of its Americas headquarters
  • Represented an owner/developer on design and construction agreements for redevelopment of an office tower into a boutique hotel
  • Represented an owner/developer on design and construction agreements for new construction of a national brand hotel
  • Represented a prime contractor on bid and all other legal issues related to North Carolina’s first Turnpike Authority highway construction project ($800 million I-540 extension project)
